Our client an NHS Organisation, based in the South East seeks to recruit an Interim Employee Relations Manager for an initial period of 3 months.

Key responsibilities:

  • To educate Employee Relations colleagues and staff across the Trust in good employment practice, responding to development needs by supplying training where required; ensuring colleagues are equipped to carry out staff management responsibilities effectively, particularly in the area of disciplinary and grievance investigations.
  • To identify opportunities for improvements to ER practice, processes and systems of work and support the Head of Employment Relations in implementing these and embedding learning from casework.
  • Utilise highly specialist ER knowledge to critically analyse investigation findings and provide feedback to facilitate the production of factual, well-written management reports for consideration by senior management.
  • Design and roll out programmes of ER related training for internal delegates, with an immediate focus on disciplinary and grievance investigations.
  • Support the Head of Employee Relations with the preparation of employment tribunal cases, including preparation of bundles, drafting initial responses/witness statements, preparing witnesses etc.
  • To deputise and provide cover for ER colleagues to support the activities of the wider HR team in a range of topics including (for example) redundancy, organisational change, general HR advice, sickness absence, etc. as required.
