Our client, an NHS organisation, based in the Midlands, is seeking to recruit an Interim Gender Dysphoria National Referral Support Service Clinical Manager / Training and Development Lead for an initial 3 months. The role will be mainly remote working.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the development of a training and programme for the clinical team and provide clinical leadership.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all clinical aspects of enquiries, disputes, challenges and complaints are managed and co-ordinated in a timely and appropriate manner in line with policy and guidance.
  • Lead the team in the delivery of project plans, allocating tasks as appropriate, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the project
  • Be responsible for a high standard of work supporting the delivery of services on time, to quality standards and in a cost effective manner.
  • Adherence to the budget, ongoing monitoring of expenditure against budget and ensuring the appropriate documentation is available for scrutiny working jointly with Head of Service.
  • Contribute to the development of performance and governance strategies and the development and implementation of improvement programmes.
  • Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive and contentious information, presenting information, to a wide range of stakeholders in a formal setting.
  • Develop short, medium and long term business plans, achieving quality outcomes.
  • Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deal with conflicting and contentious situations in a professional empathetic manner.

Requirements

  • Registered Nursing or Medical Qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level equivalent.
  • Experience of managing and motivating a team and reviewing performance of the individuals.
