Our client, an NHS organisation, based in the South East, is seeking to recruit an Interim Programme Manager - Planned Care for up to 3 months.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the provision of the day to day leadership for the key work programmes.
  • Support key ICP infrastructure meetings as required (Planned Care Delivery Group).
  • To lead agreed work streams and ensure timely delivery of objectives or escalation of issues as appropriate.
  • Broker Independent Provider activity and influence the trust to fully utilise all available capacity to reduce long waiters.
  • Provide innovative solutions to ensure effective delivery of elective recovery, across all points of delivery.
  • Support Trust to delivery against all Gateways in the Elective Recovery Framework including reducing 52 week waits and outpatients transformation.
  • Support the implementation of a standardised Quality Improvement methodology across programmes of work.
  • Work collaboratively across the ICP promoting constructive solutions focused relationships and supporting continuous improvement way of working.

Requirements

  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy in South East and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.
  • Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, NHS England and individual provider and commissioning organisations.
  • Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes.
