Our client, an NHS organisation based in the South East is seeking to recruit an Interim Head of HR - Covid 19 for up to 9 months. The role is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, implement and provide an effective service to Pandemic Health Emergency Response Service (PHERS) as part of the Workforce Team.
  • Responsibilities include management of Corporate Recruitment Resourcing, Job Evaluation, Pay & Contracts, Sickness Absence management, Workforce Planning & Information, HR Systems Administration, Health and Wellbeing, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Training and Management and Audit requirements.
  • Accountable for the recruitment and retention of the Pandemic Health Emergency Response Service (PHERS) internal operating structure.
  • Take overall responsibility for Projects that fall within the Human Resource division, providing support and governance, and manage project support staff as appropriate for their projects / work areas in line with overall PHERS strategy.
  • Take responsibility for corporate communications relating to payments to staff including redundancy, overpayments, information required for grievances/appeals and recruitment as well as serving notice to staff in line with legal requirements.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of HR, workforce information and recruitment activity.
  • Demonstrable experience in the NHS within a managerial capacity at Band 8b and above.
