Our client an NHS Organisation, based in the South East seeks to recruit a GP Practice Support Governance & Compliance Manager.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the GP Practice Managers and the Governance & Compliance Manager to agree a project plan to implement a common approach to governance across the practices.
  • Review compliance processes in the practices – including Health & Safety, fire, mandatory training, prescription control measures, emergency drugs management, risk management, pat testing and infection prevention.
  • Maintain systems in practices ensuring the governance timetable is delivered, updating policies and procedures in-line with governing body requirements.
  • Support investigations into Serious Incidents Requiring Investigation (SIRIs), ensure complaints are tracked and responded to in a timely fashion and all compliments are recorded and communicated.
  • Support the delivery of Health & Safety ensuring requirements are met, systems are designed to provide clarity over actions and responsibilities and ensuring processes are completed as required by Practice Managers for each site.
  • Ensure practices are aware of the status of employees completing mandatory eLearning and related training to ensure organisation is compliant with governing body requirements.
  • Ensure practices capture information and associated paperwork from existing and new clinicians e.g., DBS, Appraisal, CV, Immunisation etc to ensure organisation is compliant with governing body requirements.
  • Produce quarterly and ad hoc reports as required by the practices and PCNs on delivery against governance and compliance targets and project progress.
  • Working with clinicians to ensure a robust programme of continuous clinical and non-clinical audit improvement is delivered.

Key Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level with or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of governance in a healthcare setting, acquired through experience or training.
  • Understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy.
