Our client an NHS Organisation, based in the East of England seeks to recruit an Interim Nurse Lead for Safeguarding Children for an initial period of 3 months.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Promote good professional safeguarding and think family practices across the Trust, providing advice and expertise to all staff as appropriate.
  • Represent the Trust, in absence of lead or as deputy, at appropriate external meetings and network effectively as the ambassador for the Chief Nurse.
  • Provide safeguarding supervision for staff regarding children and young people safeguarding and think family and child death across the Trust.
  • Support the development of systems and processes to assure the Trust Board and external regulators of Trust compliance with the national and local agenda relating to the care and children and young people safeguarding and think family.
  • Together with the Safeguarding Team, provide expert advice, based on national and local strategies, research and audit, and provide support to the Trust on all aspects of children and young people safeguarding and think family work.
  • Work closely with key staff on activities that relate to the children and young people safeguarding and think family to ensure that the Trust meets its responsibilities.
  • Provide training for staff regarding children and young people safeguarding and think family across the Trust.
  • Complete audits relating to children and young people safeguarding and think family across the Trust and participate in any research and development activity to ensure contemporary evidence based practice and clinical excellence.
