Our client, an NHS organisation based in Wales is seeking to recruit an Interim Integrated Health Community Director for an initial 3 months.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure all services are integrated and focussed around the well-being and care of people in the Health Community’s geography.
  • Ensure all decisions about local service design, implementation and operational management fully take account of the needs of the North Wales population as a whole.
  • Provide high quality population health, wellness and integrated care delivery services for the community, within budget and in alignment with national and local targets.
  • Improve the services for the community by setting and maintaining a positive and open culture. One that enables listening and learning and collaboration with other public and third sector organisations; Provide leadership, direction and support to all staff within the Health Community fostering an open and inclusive style of management, encouraging team working and good working relationships. This also includes the positive management of services with independent contractors.
  • Continually improve the services provided to the community through proactive involvement of staff, patients and external partners. Agreed improvement methodologies will be adopted to deliver change.
  • Keep services safe through strong and robust Health Community governance and assurance using the three lines of defence (quality, staff engagement, activity, clinical standards and financial) which links closely to Health Board wide governance.

Requirements

  • Current GMC/GDC/NMC/HCPC registration or equivalent for other clinical discipline.
  • Experience of leading multi-disciplinary, senior teams and delivering high standards of care in challenging environments.
  • Experience of developing senior teams to achieve excellent cohesion and collaboration, and actively managing poor performance.
  • Experience of managing significant staff numbers and multi million pound budgets.
