Interim Senior Project Manager - Capital Delivery

Our NHS client based in the East of England seeks to recruit a Senior Project Manager - Capital Delivery on an interim basis for an initial period of 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement the Joint Capital Investment Programme for a Group of hospitals.
• Work with the site Capital Project teams across all three sites to deliver major Mechanical and Electrical infrastructure projects within the existing retained estates and future developments.
• To investigate new technologies that will reduce the Trusts Energy consumption and resilience on all sites and act as a link between the site teams to develop and implement new technologies and to promote the exchange of knowledge across the sites.
• In conjunction with the other Senior Project Managers to promote within the teams working towards uniformity of equipment standards and best practice that will enhance the delivery of high standard innovative cost affective projects that will improve the environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Deliver an extensive programme of capital investments in the built environment mainly major works schemes.
• Manage and monitor, using complex programme management methodology for reporting on performance, risks, issues, timing, quality and benefits realisation, and ensure the programme is reported through the appropriate governance framework.
• Advise the Head of Capital projects delivery on issues relating to capital project delivery by way of exception reporting.

Key Requirements:

• Masters level Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
• Specialist knowledge backed by extensive experience in the delivery of complex programmes of estates capital investment.
• Previous experience of estates project management in the NHS or equivalent complex organisation.
