Our client an NHS Organisation, based in the South East of England seeks to recruit a Head of Medical HR on an interim basis for an initial period of 3 months.  The role offers hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide excellent, flexible, and proactive leadership and support to the Medical Director, Deputy Medical Director, Chief People Officer, Deputy Chief People Officer, and Clinical Directors in all matters pertaining to the medical workforce.
  • Provide expert and effective management and governance policies and processes, for example in job planning, medical appraisal, revalidation, rotas, private work, etc.
  • To work with the Deputy Medical Director / Responsible Officer to ensure the Trust processes support future requirements for Revalidation.
  • Provide relevant training in management and governance policies and processes.
  • Ensure the Trust complies with nationally agreed terms and conditions for all grades of medical staff.
  • Regularly review local Terms and Conditions for Trust Doctors ensuring they are fit for purpose and support retention.
  • Regularly review the contracts issued to all medical staff at the Trust, ensuring they are current and compliant.
  • Lead on the projects to implement new medical terms and conditions, and contracts, as and when agreed in line with national agreement.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of supervising, supporting, developing, and appraising and managing a Medical Staffing Team or Department.
  • Experience of leading high performing teams.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing procedures and systems to enhance medical staffing issues.
