Our Public Sector client, based on the South Coast seeks to recruit an Interim Committee Secretary for an initial period of 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain arrangements and procedures for the sound corporate governance of the Trust.
  • Taking accurate formal minutes of meetings and ensuring that they are provided to the Chair within required timescales.
  • Provide the secretariat for the Board Assurance Committees.
  • Maintain terms of reference for all Committees and ensure that they are up to date and annually reviewed.
  • Propose changes to Board and Committee practices and procedures, to improve their effectiveness.
  • Maintain a Register of Decisions made at the various committees and Board Meetings.
  • Support arrangements for the Annual General Meeting, working in conjunction with the Head of Corporate Governance.

Key Requirements:

  • Specialist knowledge of corporate governance acquired through further training and/or experience to post graduate diploma level or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable previous experience in committee administration.
  • NHS experience is desirable.
