Interim Service Manager – ENT & Urology

North West, Band 8a

Our client an NHS organisation, based in the North West seeks to recruit an Interim Service Manager – ENT & Urology for an initial 3 months.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure services are comprehensively assessed, appropriately planned, effectively implemented and evaluated according to agreed policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Provide operational management for agreed services, providing expertise, advice and guidance from a broad knowledge base to improve services by anticipating needs, planning and implementing change according to Divisional plans and objectives.
• Develop and maintain systems and processes to establish and maintain effective communication, and confidentiality of information.
• Maintain systems and processes to continually monitor standards, e.g. identifying risks, benchmarking, audit, and prepare and implement action plans to improve quality of services.
• Support the Divisional Head of Nursing to ensure that lessons are learnt from issues arising from risk reports/complaints etc., and that they are promptly and positively addressed.

Key requirements

• At least two years management experience within the NHS.
• Experience of engaging service users/ carers in service planning/improvement.
